This weekend brings the 8th Annual Wine Amplified Festival to Mandalay Bay. This over-the-top event features over 50 wineries and 150 different wines, spans two days, and tickets include both wine tasting and entertainment.

Kicking the event off on Friday, September 6th is Bubbles and Chocolate, an exclusive champagne and dessert tasting, featuring Mandalay Bay Pastry Chef Christophe Feyt. Hosted by Moet & Chandon, and held at the Moorea Beach Club, festival attendees will indulge in decadent taste, wine, and musical treats, with a concert by Collective Soul and Vertical  Horizon.

On Saturday, the venue changes to the Mandalay Beach, where the wine will flow. Chardonnay, Chianti, Rose, Champagne, Syrah, and Cabernet from around the world will be served up along with $5 taste treats from Aureole, Border Grill, Mix, and StripSteak (VIPS will get a special menu from Rick Noonan and his newly opened Boiler Room). There will also be special performances on two stages from Gavin DeGraw, Austin Brown, Josh Krajciz, and Lady Reiko.

Las Vegas: Moet & Chandon Culinary Experience

The Cooking Experience by Mis En Place is offering a one-time “Mood and Food Pairing” on August 30th, featuring Moet & Chandon champagnes. Who can resist bubbly and gourmet fare?

Moet & Chandon is one of the largest champagne producers in the world, producing over 5 million bottles each year, and owning respected champagne labels Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, and Domain Chandon (American-produced sparkling wines). Chefs at Mis En Place have designed a menu meant to highlight each of the four sparkling wines chosen for this event.

The evening will start off with Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes and M&C’s Imperial Ice (the world’s first champagne designed to be served over ice). The second course will feature the brand’s Imperial champagne paired with Brie Ravioli in a Morel Cream Sauce. The main event is Seafood Vol Au Vent, to be enjoyed with Imperial Brut 2004. Finishing off the night’s festivities will be Flan de Naranja and Strawberry Macarons with a Nectar Imperial Rosé.

While the number of participants is limited, there is still time to get tickets for this premier food event.
